31 Jan 2016 — band Alice Goes To Motherland started its history with the first single, «Round». It was followed by two more singles, «Rage» and «Name Me Your God» later in the year. Music was warmly received by both audience and people from music industry including the leader of cult Russian rock band Cherniy Obelisk (Black Obelisk) Dmitry Borisenkov.
Autumn 2017 — Winter 2018 — Emergenza, international music festival, Moscow. Alice Goes To Motherland played 3 gigs as part of the festival and managed to get to semifinal. Those live shows helped to double our fanbase and also in that period the current visual concept of the band established.
Sept 2018 — release of the first album, «Gemini». Along with visual concept, music on the album also has a concept to it and all the songs together form a story, an emotional map that leads a listener through a labyrinth of thoughts and feelings. It was inspiring to receive coments and reviews showing that people got this and were excited to find out the story, interpret it, live it through.
Oct 2018 — album presentation gig, Biggie club, Moscow (solo show). With assistance of professional performers the show turned out to be a real art-event. Audience became a part of it all as the performers were right there on the floor, interacting with them and dragging them into the world of Gemini while the band was putting on the show on stage. Some coments from those who were there were: «It was like real theatre!» and «I didn’t know where to look — show was both on the stage and all around me!» To see a recap from the show check out YouTube links.
Nov 2018 — Feb 2019 — more work on social media. Paying more attention to social media, playing a couple more gigs with other bands in Moscow and starting a video blog paid back in getting the total amount of followers from 1000 to 5000 (Vk, Instagram, YouTube, FB). In this period, thanks to the fans and their activity, Alice Goes To Motherland also appeared a few times in videos of some top Russian music bloggers: Rock News, BRYSHCH (don’t try to pronounce this), New Rock. We also performed live on Nashe TV, again thanks to massive requests from our fans.
16 Feb — 01 Mar 2019 — «Gemini Russian Tour» including 9 towns. Some gigs were solo, some with supporting bands. Not only it was fun to travel around the country, play on different stages and meet our online fans in person, but also useful as we learned a lot about tour life, possible technical issues and so on. We also got our songs spinning on a few local and Internet radio stations like Samara Maximum, Angels’ Radio, Radio Nestandart.
Now we’re planning to shoot a music video, enforce our online presence with more activity on FB, IG and YT and performe more, especially at music festivals and showcases both in Russia and abroad. We’ve started working on some new music and looking for soundproducers, booking agents, managers and labels that would like to work and create with Alice Goes To Motherland.
